The school year is ending (I get out on the 26th), therefore, the course load has doubled. (Strange that at the beginning of the year when I have more motivation, teachers assign less homework.)
I only have to actually do work for until next Tuesday, that's when I take my last AP test. I'll have a little time over this weekend to do some work on AILD, but other than that I'll be hard pressed to find the time until the 15th.
That doesn't mean I haven't been working on it, though. I haven't got anything worth showing off, but I will post a pic of the skins I've got for the hippies (they're your allies) so far.

It's in its early stages, the sleeves don't match up with the main part of the shirt, and I haven't even started on the pants. I'm thinking khakis.
Making the hippy skin is one of the few things I'd accept help on, because I'm not much of a texture artist. So if you like AILD and can make a good skin, take a crack at changing the ***\hl2\materials\models\humans\male\group01\citizen_sheet.vtf,
and send me a screen.
You'll get a credit.
Two more things.
First of all I added watermarks to all of the screenshots. You can't see them in the thumbs because I'm using the thumbs from before the water marks. It's pretty basic, nothing to be that proud of, but it's a small security.
Secondly, AILD has been added to the mods list on Planet Phillip. You can check out PP's AILD page here.

Thanks to me prodding Frodo do finally do it, the feedback section is now up, as well as some spiffy new buttons.
So if you want to tell me just how great/abysmal, AILD is, go right ahead.

I finished the last of my finals today, and finished up acting in a school play last weekend, suffice it to say that the last couple of weeks have been pretty hectic, and I hadn't even opened Steam until tonight, much less mapped.
That's why I don't have any progress shots, but hey, that's what the media section is for, go ogle those pictures again for a while.
Over the next month, I'm going to make major progress (read: start) on the first map of the story, a combine base that Gordon and the rebels are infiltrating. Many moons ago, the idea was to have it as an island, but that didn't serve my purposes. Then it was going to be in the desert, but that also didn't work for what I had in mind. I won't go into detail about the current setup, just in case it doesn't go as planned, but I will probably put up progress shots by or before next month.
In site news, with Frodo's help, I hope to have another section added to the site very soon, Feedback. Finally, a place where you can tell me the state of your keyboard after you drooled on it while browsing the media section...or you could use it to knock me down a peg.

The second level of Tramride is making progress, I've started to make npc setups in the main plaza area (the area smack dab in the middle of the schematic from the last update). Don't worry, there'll be some nice setups, and at least one funny moment.
And to prove I'm not lying, I've uploaded a screen shot from the plaza area, pre-npcs.

Now imagine that swarming with combine soldiers or metro police...heh heh 'metro'...heh heh 'trains'

I've gotten used to the new site, and I've uploaded all the media I'm willing to show at the moment.
I also hosted two maps, Cave, and Tramride. You can get them both in the Downloads section.
And speaking of Tramride, I'm making progress on the conclusion to the first map. It's going to be reminiscent of "On a Rail" from Half-Life. You'll get to control the train, and there will be junctions in the track so that you can change your direction. I just hope that Black Mesa Source doesn't upstage me (even though I know they will).
I drew up some floor plans, I've completed every part circled in red. I didn't stay entirely true to the plans, I think what I've done is better than the original plans.

As the Winter break from school comes to a close, I'll be working extra hard to push this mod closer to release, but come Monday, my free time will be cut down drastically.
Still, I'll take advantage of every spare moment to work on the mod.

Thanks to the generous hosting of Frodo, I have a website for "As I Lay Dying", which, by the way, is the name of my one-man Half-Life 2 mod.
I'll be updating this site with screenshots, production updates, and beta downloads, so stay tuned.
